Angela Perera's specialty is ladies exclusive dressmaking for bridal and evening wear. Since starting her home-based dressmaking business in North Parramatta back in 1988, Angela moved homes during 1997 and continued to serve her customers from her new residence based in the nearby suburb of Toongabbie.
Angela only works with industrial-grade machines as it produces a much finer, more durable and aesthetically superior stitch finish in comparison to domestic sewing machines. Angela has three machines which she alternates between at various stages of the dressmaking process: a fully industrial computerized sewing machine, a dedicated industrial overlocker machine and a dedicated industrial blind hemming machine. This unique approach allows her to work with a wider range of fabric types while still ensuring that a high degree of quality is maintained at every stage of the dressmaking process.
